I can honestly say that the NOKTA FORS RELIC is firmly cementing it’s place as my first choice ‘go to’ machine. My experience with it so far has been nothing but enjoyable and it certainly seems to be producing the goods!
Myself and partner Sonya decided to visit a newly acquired arable permission armed with the NOKTA FORS RELIC and the MAKRO RACER 2. We had two stubble fields to try so naturally we thought the best choice of coil would be the 5″. I’m so glad we decided to use the small coil as it enabled us to winkle out the good targets in amongst the stubble.
The field had moderate iron and the RELIC had literally danced from one good target to another making very easy work of the iron contamination.
I was very lucky and made some nice finds including my desired targets which are English Silver Medieval coinage.
An Edward III pre treaty half groat dated 1351-1361
A Tudor Elizabeth 1st two pence dated 1582-1584
A small cut quarter of King John dated 1180.
A couple of 16th/17th Century Nuremberg jettons.
Medieval Buckles and lead boy bishop tokens.
My settings were as follows,
ID filter 5
Tone Break 20
i mask 3
Iron volume 5.
All targets came through with crisp precise audio. I’m looking forward to my next outing with the FORS RELIC and will look forward to sharing more finds with you all.
