The Nokta FORS RELIC so far has been nothing short of amazing for me

FORS RELIC (So Far)

‘’The Nokta FORS RELIC so far has been nothing short of amazing for me & has proved itself as an outstanding member of my metal detecting armoury. It’s produced countless silver medieval hammered coins for me as well as numerous other coins & artefacts, ranging from Roman right through to modern.

The highlight of my season so far with the RELIC has to be the lovely late 16th/early 17th century seal ring, which very spookily bears the initials ‘IC’, which so happens to be my very own initials! This ring is now going through the UK treasure process, under the UK treasure act. So I am extremely pleased to have made this lovely find using the FORS RELIC.

Nokta & Makro have produced some outstanding machines & put a lot of thought into their new releases. They seem to be firmly cementing their place as a major contender in the metal detecting market.

On behalf of myself & everyone at DIG THIS! Metal Detecting Group, we would thank you guys at Nokta & Makro for your continuous hard work & ongoing research to bring more great products onto the metal detecting market.

Keep up the good work & we look forward to your future releases.’’

I first purchased the Nokta FoRs CoRe and then the FoRs Gold

”I first purchased the Nokta FoRs CoRe and then the FoRs Gold. When the FORS Relic was released I knew I had to have one.
The Relic has surely lived up to it’s name. I find that the FORS Relic has super fast processing speeds and durable construction.
I mainly hunt Civil War campsites and find that the FORS Relic performs very well in the them due to the high concentrations of iron.
I can’t be any more pleased with my Nokta Relic purchase and will honestly say that Nokta has made a lifetime customer with their exceptional products. I have honestly have found enough quality and rare relics that if i sold them I would have paid for my Nokta Relic purchase and then some.
Thanks, Nokta”

I had to give the machine back!

”I was on my way down an old road to a well visited cellar hole in the woods. I noticed another treasure hunter swinging in another area along the way. I approached him and we hit it off talking about our finds and equipment (He was using a Nokta FORS CoRe). I invited him to join me at the cellar hole I was on my way to. We decided it would be fun to give each others machines a swing and boy did it pay off for me! This site is infested with iron and the FORS CoRe was equip with a 5.2″x4.7″ search coil. With this combination I was able to pull a New York EXCELSIOR Button circa 1870, out from a depth of 8″ in an iron infested area. The only bad part of the story, I had to give the machine back!”

I certainly can’t see myself putting this machine down anytime soon!

‘’Here are some of my finds from my last two detecting sessions with the NOKTA FORS RELIC. It’s certainly living up to it’s name and has been nothing short of amazing each time I’ve used it.

If you notice the different selection of targets, it certainly seems at home & comfortable winkling non ferrous targets of all shapes and sizes amongst the iron.

Finds range from a 2000 year old Roman brooch right through to medieval with a silver penny of Richard 1st dated 1100’s AD & a cut half Tealby of Henry II dated 1100’s AD. One of my favourite finds has to be the complete & intact medieval beehive thimble dated around 1300’s AD. Other finds include a nice medieval gold angel coin weight & a nice complete medieval casket key.

I certainly can’t see myself putting this machine down anytime soon! ‘’

Had a good hunt Sunday evening at an old park location in Ohio. Was using my Fors Core with the large coil.

‘’Had a good hunt Sunday evening at an old park location in Ohio. Was using my Fors Core with the large coil.

Best finds were 1833 US Large Cent, 1944 Mercury Dime, 1951 Silver Rosie Dime, 5 wheats, Master Lock token, couple of buckles, buttons and an antique Woodburry’s  #8 milk glass jar (1920’s) that still had the lid on it.

Many thanks,’’

My experience with it so far has been nothing but enjoyable and it certainly seems to be producing the goods!

I can honestly say that the NOKTA FORS RELIC is firmly cementing it’s place as my first choice ‘go to’ machine. My experience with it so far has been nothing but enjoyable and it certainly seems to be producing the goods!

Myself and partner Sonya decided to visit a newly acquired arable permission armed with the NOKTA FORS RELIC and the MAKRO RACER 2. We had two stubble fields to try so naturally we thought the best choice of coil would be the 5″. I’m so glad we decided to use the small coil as it enabled us to winkle out the good targets in amongst the stubble.

The field had moderate iron and the RELIC had literally danced from one good target to another making very easy work of the iron contamination.

I was very lucky and made some nice finds including my desired targets which are English Silver Medieval coinage.

An Edward III pre treaty half groat dated 1351-1361

A Tudor Elizabeth 1st two pence dated 1582-1584

A small cut quarter of King John dated 1180.

A couple of 16th/17th Century Nuremberg jettons.

Medieval Buckles and lead boy bishop tokens.

My settings were as follows,

Di2

Sensitivity 60

ID filter 5

Tone Break 20

i mask 3

Iron volume 5.

All targets came through with crisp precise audio. I’m looking forward to my next outing with the FORS RELIC and will look forward to sharing more finds with you all.

There’s nothing better than detecting on a summers afternoon

Pleasantly Spooky

There’s nothing better than detecting on a summers afternoon, taking in the picturesque scenes of the golden rolling landscape with the nice warm summer breeze gently blowing across your face. Sunday 24th July 2016 was one those afternoons for myself and partner Sonya. We received a phone call in the morning from one our farmers saying he had cropped his barley and that we had a new field to go at; so naturally we got our detecting gear and drinks ready and headed out the door.

After a couple of hours of the usual run of the mill finds including buttons, small pieces of lead and the token shot gun ends (that seem to be in abundance on most arable land) I decided to change my tactics and detect my way parallel to an old grass track that runs along the side of our field. After another 5 or so shot gun ends I received a loud, very sharp two way signal reading a sold 76 on the VDI of my NOKTA FORS RELIC. I took a shovel full of soil out of the hole and after a quick scan of the spoils I had confirmation that the target was out the hole. I picked the biggest clod of mud and ran it over the coil and to my amazement I heard the same sharp loud two way signal I’d heard previously. What I saw next was nothing short of amazing and pleasantly spooky all rolled into one! Looking back at me from this freshly broken in half clod was a lovely 17 century silver gilt seal ring with my very own initials “IC”…..straight away you ask yourself what are the odds of this totally random event ever happening? In my nearly 20 years of detecting I have never had anything as random as this happen to me what so ever.

Just a pure fluke or is someone up there watching over me I ask myself? I guess I’ll never know.

I want to tell you that on the first…

”I want to tell you that on the first trip out to a plain field in very small town I already found an 1854 US half dime and WW 2 Canadian Artillery Regiment Button.  This machine is definitely Professional Grade!!!   Worth every bit and more!!!  Thanks for making a serious detectorists dream machine.  Regards”  Al Morabito from Canada

I bought my first Nokta detector a couple of months ago

”I bought my first Nokta detector a couple of months ago (Nokta fors core) and can’t help but wish I bought one sooner. It is absolutely amazing! on one of my permissions, which is iron and Coke infested literally every 6 inches It still picks out the good targets as deep as 14 inches, it is such a sensitive machine. It can find even the smallest of targets at great depths and that’s with the standard coil. I have attached a few pictures of some of my best finds and if anyone is thinking about buying a detector I would highly recommend the Nokta fors core, they are absolutely awesome, it’s a well built machine, and built to last! And Nokta customer service is second to none, From a very happy customer ”

I wanted to share a couple really cool finds using my Fors Core Relic (small coil)

‘’I wanted to share a couple really cool finds using my Fors Relic (small coil).

A first for me was a cut Reale!

The second item is a 1920’s advertising token for Copper-Clad stoves and ranges, made by the Copper-Clad Malleable Range Co.of St. Louis, MO. The horseshoe, 4 leaf clover and swastika (used to be before the Nazis used it) are good luck symbols.

The last item is an old lead clock pendulum from the 1800’s.

The Fors machines continue to amaze me.

Many Thanks,’’
